The incident, as confirmed in a statement issued by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) through its Plateau Command Public Education Officer, Mr Peter Longsan, occured in the early hours of Tuesday.
Longsan said the crash, involving four vehicles, two trailers, and two minibuses, occurred at about 12:12 a.m. after a military checkpoint along the Jos–Bauchi road.
“In the early hours of today, we received a distress call following a road traffic crash along the Jos–Bauchi road.
“The crash involved four vehicles, two trailers and two minibuses, with 19 people involved, including 17 males and two females,” Longsan said.
He said 10 men died on the spot, while the injured victims were receiving treatment at Jos University Teaching Hospital.

He urged motorists to avoid reckless driving and obey traffic regulations, especially during the Yuletide season.
