Election Tribunal: Why INEC Must Provide Server Results – Obi

Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 election, Mr Peter Obi, has advanced reason why the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) must provide  results collated in the server during the February 23 presidential election.

This, he said, the electoral umpire cannot denied the usage of server for collation of results during the presidential poll.

“INEC must provide the server they used for the election because they know they used the server for the election and must provide it,” Obi said while speaking at a victory thanksgiving service in Atani, Anambra state in honour of Sen. Princess Stella Odua; Hon. Chukwuka Onyema and winners of Anambra state House of Assembly, Hon. Noble Igwe and Hon. Somto Udeze, Ogbaru 1 and Ogbaru 11 constituencies, respectively.

Furthermore, he expressed confidence over his party’s victory at the tribunal.

According to him, all hope was not lost while insisting that his party would not give up as the court case was still in progress.

While commenting on the election, Obi stressed that it would have been impossible for PDP to achieve anything during the poll if not for God.

He said, “The election has come and gone and now is the reality. We have to thank God Almighty for, without Him, we would not have succeeded in the election.

“Whenever we have the opportunity we should show gratitude to God. Thanksgiving is important and we are here to show our appreciation to God for what he did for us.

“We also show our appreciation to all the people who helped made it possible for us to succeed, we must do something that they will appreciate.”A
