The Osun State Police Command has debunked the report circulating on social media that the command has arrested two suspected ritualists with female body parts.

The report written by an unknown writer stated that the two ritualists murdered a lady in an hotel room and had cut out sensitive parts of her body before they were arrested.

In a release by the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Folasade Odoro, the Police described the report as false and malicious, adding that the report was only meant to disturb the peace being enjoyed in the State.

“The attention of Osun State Police Command has been drawn to the social media report by an unknown reporter/writer that has been peddling and went viral that, two ritualists Ayodeji Saheed and Tunde Obadimeji were arrested with female body parts through a distress call made by unknown hotel management.

“The Osun State Police Command wishes to distance itself and categorically stated that, the story is false, does not emanate from the Command and refute the anonymous falsehood story in totality.

“The unknown reporter/writer is not only being mischievous, malicious egregious but also a calculated attempt to create apprehension of insecurity in the State which has been enjoying high degree of peace.

“The Commissioner of Police Osun State Command, CP Johnson Babatunde Kokumo, MNI, urges members of the public to disregard the fictitious story and go about their legitimate duties/business without fear of insecurity.

“Therefore, the CP reiterated that the Police will continue to do what it takes within its legitimate duties to guarantee peaceful co-existence with all citizenry,” the statement reads.
