An aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has accused the Governor of Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele of playing politics with the apex financial institution.
Paul Ibe, who works for the Media Office of the former vice president and a would be presidential aspirant for the 2023 election, said rather than engineer stable economy, Emefiele is engineering politics.
The CBN Governor has been rumoured to be showing interest to contest the 2023 poll.
“God Emefiele’s unholy silence only confirms the CBN Governor is playing politics with a sacred institution.
“Instead of engineering macro-economic stability and growth, the man is engineering political subterfuge. Tragic!”
The last few weeks have been dominated by talks of Emefiele joining the presidential race.
Some have called for his resignation from the apex financial institution
