The Super Eagles of Nigeria have arrived at Marrakech ahead of their quarterfinals showdown against Algeria at the ongoing 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
Having camped in Fez where they played all their group stage matches as well as the knockout match against Mozambique, the Super Eagles on Thursday left the city for Marrakech while they will face the Foxes of Algeria on Saturday.
A video shared on X showed moment the Nigerian national team players alighted from the chartered aircraft with coach Eric Chelle stepping out first.
The Super Eagles are on the verge revenge against Algeria who recorded a narrow 1-0 victory against DR Congo to advance to the quarterfinals.
Algeria last met with the Super Eagles in 2019 when they defeated the three-time AFCON champion and proceeded to the lift the title that year.
Both teams would again face-off on Saturday with the Super Eagles banking on their star-studded attacking players spearheaded by Galatasary striker, Victor Osimhen, while Algeria would depend on the experience of former Manchester City forward, Riyadh Mahrez, whose late freekick sent Nigeria packing in 2019.
