The All Progress Congress (APC) has released its schedule of activities and timetable for its primaries ahead of the 2026 Ekiti State Governorship election slated to hold on the 20th of July 2026.
This was made known in a memo shared on the party’s official X handle on Sunday.
As contained in the memo, the sales of governorship nomination form, expression of interest and delegates forms is scheduled to commence on the 18th of August and close on the 2nd of September.
While the expression of interest form for governorship will be sold for N10 million, the nomination form costs N40 million.
The nomination form is however free for female aspirants and people with disabilities (PWD).
For youths under the age of 25 to 40, a 50 percent discount is placed on the nomination form.
Following the closure of the form purchase, aspirants will be screened from 23rd to 24th of September while the result of the screening will be released on the 25th of September.
Aspirants unsatisfied with the results will be allowed to appeal the screening on the 26th of September before the Delegate Congress which will be held on the 2nd of October.
The governorship primary election will take place on the 27th of October while the next three days will be dedicated to the primary election appeal and ratification of the election result.
The list of the nominated candidate will be submitted to the APC National Working Committee (NWC) on Wednesday 7th of January 2026, before being tendered to the Independent National Electoral Committee (INEC) on Friday 16th of January 2026.
