The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is set to present the certificate of return to Oluwole Oluyede following his emergence as the party’s candidate for the 2026 Ekiti State Governorship election.
Oluyede had emerged winner of the November 8 primary election where he polled 279 votes, defeating Funso Ayeni, who scored 239, and Funmilayo Ogun with 17 votes.
As part of the next plan ahead of the election, the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Ini Enemobong, announced that the presentation of the certificate of return is slated to hold on the Wednesday, December 10.
Enemobong made the announcement in a statement issued on Monday.
The event, according to her, will be held at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, CBD, Abuja.
The PDP spokesperson urged all party leaders and members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) to be in attendance at the event.
The statement read; “Following the successful conduct of the Ekiti State Gubernatorial Primary Election of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Appeal Panel ratification, the National Working Committee (NWC) hereby schedules the Presentation of Certificate of Return to our Candidate, DR. OLUWOLE OLUYEDE for the June 20, 2026 Governorship Election in Ekiti State, as follows:
“Date; Wednesday, December 10, 2025
“Venue: Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, CBD, Abuja FCT
“Time: 2pm Prompt
“All Party leaders, members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), PDP Governors, serving and former member of the Board of Trustees, serving and former members of the National Assembly and all party stakeholders are cordially invited to this event as we join hands to ensure our Party’s victory in the Ekiti State Governorship Election.”
