Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has expressed his confidence about his re-election bid at the 2026 gubernatorial election.
Adeleke maintained that he has no cause to fear, stressing that he has performed very well and has the backing of Osun people.
The governor made this known while addressing newsmen after his screening by the National Convention Screening Committee (NCOC) on Thursday in Maitama, Abuja.
Adeleke, who was screened ahead of the August 8, 2026 election, cited his victory against his predecessor, Gboyega Oyetola, as prove that he has the people’s support coupled with the works his administration has done in the state.
“Because I performed very well. I do what they call fact-check. You can come to Osun and see what is going on there.
“We are in a technology era. You can just Google it and check it out, you will know that we are doing very well.
“I’m so confident about winning. If I can defeat an incumbent and now, I’m a governor and with what we have achieved in less than two years, I’m so confident.
“If you are not performing well, you will be scared. When you have your people behind you, you don’t have to fear.” He said.
The governor further dismissed claims of internal crisis with the Osun Statet Chapter of the PDP.
“PDP in Osun are performing well. We are family, everything is going on well. So, there is no internal crisis.” Adeleke added.
