An acclaimed Senior Special Assistant to the Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has warned opposition political parties and their members against campaigning in the state ahead of the 2027 General Election as he declared Edo an All Progressives Congress (APC) state.
The said governor’s aide and TikToker simply identifed as nominddem threatening to deal with opposition members who post banners of candidates aside the APC candidate.
As captured in a video shared on his TikTok handle on Tuesday, Nominddem recalled how former governor of the state, Godwin Obaseki, allegedly orchestrated the destruction of the APC campaign banners and posters during the 2023 General election campaign.
TikToker maintained that Edo state is now an APC state with only the ruling party’s banner and posters allowed.
“2027, if we see any other political party, banner, or picture part from APC for Edo, the person wey dem draw for that banner and the people wey dem gum am, dem go learn new thing that very day.
“It is APC state and everything has to be APC. Because 2023, una see wetin Obaseki do for this state. Even when they hang Tinubu banner with other APC, una see wetin Obaseki do for this state.
“He drop all the banners. Dem tear all APC banners. All of them for this state. All of una dey clap hand that time. But now, Edo na APC state.
“Make we see any other political party banner. That person we dem draw for that banner with the people wey gum am, una go learn new thing that very day.” He said.
