Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has pledged to deliver the state for President Bola Tinubu’s second term bid, stressing that the 2027 Presidential Election is sealed for him.
Okpebholo made the pledge during his remark at the flag-off ceremony of 125 kilometres Benin-Asaba Expressway project on Monday.
Representing Tinubu at the event, the Edo governor lauded the President for his commitment to infrastructural development as he described the road construction project as a legacy project.
He claimed that Edo is gradually developing like Lagos while pledging to deliver all the state’s 18 local government areas for the President’s second term bid.
Okpebholo also promised to spearhead the campaign for Tinubu’s re-election at other states.
“This is a legacy project. Why I say Edo will work with Lagos, we said no. Now Edo na Lagos.
“The good things that is happening in Lagos, is now happening here in Edo State. What can we say than Baba thank you.
“We tell Mr. President that we will even take our campaign to other states on his behalf.
“2027 is sealed for Mr. President. When I say 18 over 18, it means we going to deliver our 18 local governments to Mr. President.” Okpebholo said.
