Bayelsa State has displayed dominance in across all sporting activities at the ongoing 22nd National Sports Festival in Ogun state as they topped the medal table with 16 golds, six silvers, and five bronze.
NPO Reported that the competition began on the 16th of May and is slated to end by the 30th of May.
As contained in an official ranking as at 6pm on Thursday, Bayelsa topped the table with 29 Golds, 12 Silvers, and 11 Bronze.
Coming behind Bayelsa is fellow south-south state, Delta, which sat at the 2nd place with 20 golds, eight silvers, and 23 bronzes.
Rivers state occupied the 3rd spot with nine golds, eight silvers, and eight bronzes.
The south-south dominance of the table would be disrupted by Oyo State which sat fourth with nine golds, seven silvers, and 13 bronzes while Osun state completed the top five with eight golds, and one silver, and one bronze.
The host state, Ogun, currently sit sixth in the table with eight golds, 11 silver, and 13 bronze.
Meanwhile, occupying the bottom three are Bauchi, Kaduna, and Benue states which currently sat 23rd, 24th, and 25th positions respectively with no golds to their names.
