A 23-year-old lady, Irinsanmi Eunice, has gifted Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a handmade customized crocheted jacket with his image.
As disclosed in a post on his X handle, Sanwo-Olu who received the craft work from the lady at the Governor’s office on Friday lauded her craft.
The jacket according the governor took Irinsanmi 168 hours and over 20,000 stitches with six colourful yarns to make.

With initial dream of becoming a doctor, Irinsanmi reportedly learnt the craft while in primary school.
She however studied Home Economics while taking keen interest in her crafts, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sanwo-Olu encouraged every young creatives in the state, stressing that their work matters.
He expressed his gratitude to Irinsanmi for the handmade jacket which had his image neatly crafted at its back.
“Today, I received a thoughtful, handmade, custom crocheted jacket from 23 year old Irinsanmi Imisioluwa Eunice.
“It took her 168 hours, over 20,000 stitches, and six colours of yarn using just one crochet hook to bring it to life. But it’s her story that truly stayed with me.
“Eunice learned to crochet back in primary school. At one point, she dreamed of becoming a doctor, but life took her in another direction. She studied Home Economics, and during COVID lockdown, she leaned deeply into her love for crafting.
“I want every young creative in Lagos to know that your work matters. Your hands, your skills, your ideas, and your dreams are all part of what makes this state thrive.
“Thank you, Eunice. I appreciate this gift, and I’ll wear it with pride.” The governor wrote.
