England forward, Cole Palmer, again pulled up a master class performance to inspire Chelsea to a 3-0 win against Aston Villa.
The London club hosted Unai Emery’s side for the Premier League match day 13.
With barely 10 minutes into the game, Senegalese forward, Nickolas Jackson opened the score sheet with a volley to put Chelsea into the lead.
The goal triggered the Villains who sought for an equalizer.
They, however, failed to breakthrough Chelsea’s watertight defense as Chelsea latched on a counterattack with Cole Palmer leading the charge.
The attacking midfielder put the ball through to Enzo Fernandez who neatly converted it to put Chelsea into a 2-0 lead before halftime.
Enzo Marecsa-led Blues maintained the momentum as they kept Aston Villa at bay.
However, the visitors came close to reduce the deficit after Jaden Philogene appeared to be toppled in the penalty area.
Unfortunately, the referee, Stuart Attwell, ruled out the penalty while booking Philogene for diving.
With seven minutes left before full time, Chelsea charged towards sealing the game.
Cole Palmer would step up to seal the game for Chelsea with a screamer as the match ended 3-0.
The win saw Chelsea climbing 3rd with 25 points across 13 games.
