In wake of the ongoing fraud scandal involving a UK-based Nigerian Pastor, Tobi Adegboyega, popular businessman, Isaac Fayose, has recounted how his son and nephew fell victim of the Pastor’s fraudulent activities in his church.
Fayose, in a post shared on his Instagram handle on Wednesday, recalled how his son and nephew sat him down three years ago to narrate their ordeal at Pastor Tobi’s church.
According to him, the duo recounted how they were brainwashed and forced to bring half of their salaries to the church.
They also recounted being lured to invite their friends who suffered same ordeal which Fayose described as a funny and ugly experience.
“My son and my nephew’s ugly experience at Pastor Tobi’s church seven years ago.
“They sat me down four years ago to tell me what they went through, how they were forced to bring half of their salary, how they put in a mansion to brainwash them that this money is for God, how they were forced to go and bring their friends and everybody to the church to do the same.
“It was a very funny and ugly for them that even my nephew is still embittered.” Fayose said.
Recall NPO reported possible deportation of Pastor Tobi by the UK government over 1.78 million Euros fraud.
Meanwhile, Isaac Fayose, brother to former Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose, adviced Pastor Tobi to relocate to Nigeria as the UK government does not tolerate such act.
“My advice for Pastor Tobi is that UK doesn’t tolerate that. Many Pastors in Nigeria would have been in jail if they come to the UK. My advice is move back to Nigeria.” he added.
Meanwhile, in another video on his Instagram handle, Fayose called for the intervention of the government in the religious sectors as he questioned the wealth of Nigerian church founders.
“Where is Pastor’s money coming from?
“There are some emergency billionaires that we celebrate in this country. No track record. Our children need to be safe.
“Government has to start sanitizing that sector because the bible says we have to be careful of what enters our brain. We have to careful of who we follow.
“A Pastor who is living the life of Burna Boy and Wizkid, a Pastor driving Ferrari, Lamborghini without any industry? We don’t need oracle to tell us say na wuruwuru we dey follow go.
“Anybody that is living lifestyle above his income, I don’t regard them.” Fayose added.
