Operatives of the Nigerian Police Force has on Saturday rescued a Director of Ministry of Justice and his niece who were abducted in Akwa-Ibom state.
As contained in a post made available to NPO Reports, the Director identified as Barrister Emmanuel Ubengama, was abducted with his niece along Abak-Ikot Abasi Road.
They were tied up and kept in a soakaway facility at the kidnappers’ hideout.
However, a fierce exchange of gunfire led to death of their kidnappers and their eventual rescue by the security operatives.
As seen in the video attached to the post, the policemen dragged the concrete cover of the soakaway while assisting the legal practitioner and his niece off the pit.
