Plus Dangerous Weapons Recovered From Them

No fewer than 50 suspected vandals have been arrested by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command in the wake of the persistent reports of road facilities vandalization.
The Command embarked on all out raid on the suspected vandals, recovering 25 manhole covers, vandalized solar street lights and dangerous weapon from them.
This was disclosed by the FCT Commissioner of Police, Tunji Disu, while addressing newsmen on Monday.
According to Disu, investigation revealed that the arrested suspects operate as part of a larger network, selling stolen manhole covers to scrap dealers.
He noted that the criminal activity endangers the lives of the general public by creating hazards on roads and walkways while undermining the integrity of public infrastructure.
The FCT Police Commissioner further disclosed the names of the arrested suspects who were paraded by the Command.
The suspects include, Bashir Usman, Shaibu Ibrahim, Sani Isah, Ibrahim Hassan, Mustapha Hassan, Awal Nawan, Umar Aliyu, Auta Umar, Simon Clement, Datti Ibrahim, Mohammed Salim, Ibrahim Ibrahim, Ifeanyi-Chuckwu Emmanuel, Abba Ismail, Najib Abdul, Muhammed Lawal, and Rabiu Ibrahim amongst others.
On the other hand, the recovered road facilities include 25 galvanized manhole covers, five solar street lights, several galvanized poles used in the construction of flyovers, 15 street light poles cut into smaller pieces, several rolls of high voltage AEDC cables, two locally made pistols, two live cartridges, 30tubes of triple sub glue, and 13 large solar panels amongst others.
