Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has sworn in six new commissioners and allocated their portfolios.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq, Secretary to the State Government, on Tuesday.
As contained in the statement, newly sworn-in commissioners and their portfolios are as follows: Hon. Paul Nosayaba Ohonbamu- Ministry of Information and Communications; Hon. Dr. Washington Osa Osifo- Ministry of Water Resources and Energy; Dr. Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu- Ministry of Education; Sir (Dr.) Lucky Eseigbe- Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; Mr. Andrew Ijegbai- Ministry of Mining and Barr. Marie Olabisi Idaomi- Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
“It is hereby announced for the information of the General Public that the Governor of Edo State, His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo, has sworn in six (6) Commissioners into the State Executive Council,” Ikhilor announced.
The government directed all commissioners to resume at their various ministries with immediate effect.
