The Nigerian Police Force has ordered Ogun State Police Command to investigate the molestation of a community elder, Chief Arinola Abraham, by the Oloorile of Orile Ifo, Ọba Semiu Olawale Ogunjobi.
This is coming hours after the disturbing video of the monarch’s assault of the community chief surfaced online.
NPO reported that Arinola was compelled to kneel publicly on the road before the King who assaulted him physically and verbally.
One of his subjects would further be captured slapping the community chief before forcing him to prostrate and beg the monarch.
This had sparked reactions from concerned netizens who called for the arrest of the Oba Ogunjobi.
Responding to one of the comments on X, the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi. disclosed that the case has been referred to the Ogun State Command’s Police Commissioner.
Adejobi, however urged the assaulted community chief to meet the Police Commissioner or any senior officer in the command.
