Socio-religious Islamic Organization, Nasru-Lahi-L-Faith Society (NASFAT) has launched a match-making software application for suitor and spouse seekers.
The dating app, which was named NASFAT Matchup, reportedly combined human and artificial intelligence in providing specific targeted services.
This was disclosed in a Facebook post shared on Monday.
According to the post, the app was launched as a sideline event at a Guidance and Counselling Workshop for Muslim Organisation Leaders in Nigeria.
The event was organised by the Guidance and Counselling Unit of NASFAT, headed by Dr. Kuyum Abiodun Oladipupo.
Speaking at the launching, NASFAT President, Alhaji AbdulRauf AbdulWahid, explained that the app was created in effort to tackle widespread challenge of broken homes and high of deception amongst some Muslim brothers and sisters.
“We are aware and very disturbed by the widespread challenge of broken homes, traumatized children/adults, and the attendant mental health disorders credited to several failed marriages in our society and the world today.
“We are also aware of the high-level deceptions that some of our supposed God-fearing brothers and Sisters are playing in the quest for credible and loyal partners. This is why, 11 months ago, we conceptualized this idea.” he said.
AbdulWahid further explained that NASFAT MATCHUP is a tailored intervention, exclusive to only verifiable Muslim men and women seeking the blessing of righteous spouses.
“The NASFAT Matchup App is essentially to provide an accelerated and guided marital assistance to spouse seeking Muslims.,” he said.
According to him, besides being handled by professionals such as Psychologists, certified Guidance and Counsellors, and Social Therapists, the digital platform would also be reinforced with unprecedented due diligence and spiritual assistance.
“We would be conducting rigorous screening processes for candidates. By the time the due diligence has reached stage seven, which would include direct interview, background check, family lineage, previous relationship status and record, we would have been able to fully establish the sincerity of purpose of any of the candidates,” he said.
NASFAT Matchup, according to him, would also be deploying spiritual tactics to reinforce the integrity of the process.
“Statutory Istihar (guided fasting and prayer for divine guidance) would be recommended for candidates, and our Islamic scholars who are now trained as certified Counsellors would take Frontline seats to administer the guidelines,” NASFAT President added.
