Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has ordered investigation into the reported clashes at Egbedi community at Egbedore local government area of the state.
The governor, in reaction to the reported attacks over land dispute and control, had directed the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Dosu Babatunde, and his Special Adviser on Security Matters, Samuel Ojo, to investigate the incident and ensure restoration of peace.

This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by the spokesperson to the governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed.
According to the statement, Adeleke frowned at the unwholesome incident and directed immediate action as he assured the people of Egbedi of protection of lives and properties.
The governor charged the Commissioner and the Special Adviser to restore normalcy through inclusive conflict resolution procedure.
He particularly rejected the involvement of the state government and advised against politicising the unfortunate face off.
“We should avoid politicising every incident. I have no gun wielding appointee. I didn’t send anybody to foment communal crisis. We will get to the root of the matter”, the Governor was quoted as saying in the statement.
Adeleke further assured the Elegbedi of Egbedi, Chiefs, sons and daughters of the town that those responsible for the attacks will be brought to book.
