• Faults Report of Suspension, Sexual Harassment at UN Women Parliament

Nigerian social media influencer, Martin Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, has faulted Kogi lawmaker, Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, for reporting her suspension and alleged sexual harassment before the United Nations Women Assembly.

NPO Reported that Natasha, had, yesterday, appeared at the UN’s Women Parliamentary Session in New York, United States, to report her six months suspension by the Senate.

She claimed she was suspended in an alleged attempt by the Red Chamber to silence her after submitting a sexual harrasment petition against the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

Reacting in a viral video on X on Wednesday, VDM held that the Kogi lawmaker is making a big mistake.

He described her report to the UN as a wrong move.

VDM explained that the UN cannot do anything over the case as its jurisdiction is limited to issues that affect global peace.

“Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan you are making a big mistake, and you are taking a wrong move. Whoever is advising you is just lying to you.

“While I commend Senator Natasha for standing up for herself and also being an inspiration to girl-child around the world, at the end of the day, I will still tell you the truth. You are chasing shadows because this United Nations you went to report to not cannot do anything.

“Their power limits them to a lot of things. The only way they come to a country or talk to the country is when the country is a threat to international peace. They deal with countries on peace majorly.” he said.

The social media influencer cited the abduction of Chibok girls by Boko Haram insurgents as an instance.

He claimed that the UN’s silence over the case was as a result of not being a threat to international peace but a Nigerian problem.

“Let me give you an example of why they cannot do anything. When Boko Haram killing people and carrried Chibok girls, the United Nations did not do anything, You know why? Becasue Boko Haram is not a threat to international peace. It’s a threat to the peace of Nigeria.

“The highest thing they did was to send aid- food aids, medical aids to the people of Borno.That’s the highest they can do.” VDM said
