Fatai Odunsi, father of Nigerian music artist, Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has disclosed that the rift between him and his son has been resolved.
He also confirmed that the singer is currently looking for a house to buy for him.
NPO reported that the musician came under spotlight after the viral video of a stroke-ladened Odunsi begging for financial assistance surfaced on social media last week.
Amid the controversies, the singer’s paternal family would also call him out in another video, urging him to take care of his father as well as his 11-year-old daughter he had with his estranged baby mama.
The family had also demanded he build a house for his father.
As against claims that Asake abandoned his ailing father, the singer would take to his Instagram handle on Friday, revealing how he had constantly sent money to him.
Odunsi, however, appeared in a video again yesterday, confirming that he has come to terms with his son.
He disclosed that Asake has agreed to fulfill his duties, including buying him a house and taking responsibility of his medical treatment.
Odunsi, popularly known as Malo, also confirmed that the singer has taken full responsibility of his daughter.
“We have resolved the issue. I was initially upset because it’s been a while a see him and his mother did not encourage him to ask about my well being or cater to my needs.
“But everything is settled now. He has started fulfilling all his duties to me as my son
“Asake said they should go and look for a house to buy for me on the island for the past 24 hours they have been looking for a house to buy for me, we have settled our grievances there is no problem again between us.
“He is also going to fully take care of his child. My hospital bills too has been covered and I will begin treatment tomorrow (Monday),” he said.
