Former Nigerian lawmaker, Ben Murray-Bruce, has charged netizens to stop criticizing Nigerian political leaders.
The ex-lawmaker who represented Bayelsa East Senatorial District at the Senate gave charge while speaking at the Silverbird Award on Sunday night.
This was in reaction to the viral video of the Youth Corp member, Ushie Rita, who called President Bola Tinubu over high cost of living in Nigeria.
Rita had slammed the Nigerian President, labelling him a “terrible President”.
Murray-Bruce, the founder of the Silverbird Group, called for a break on the heavy criticism against Nigerian leaders while presenting the award of Silverbird Man of the Year to Ekiti State Governor, Abiodun Oyebanji.
“Those of you on social media and all over the world, stop critcizing Nigeria. Stop criticizng our leaders.
“We need a break. Stop critcizing us. That’s all we request.” He said.
