A group of protesters have accused a yet-to-be identified Police Officer of stealing their phones during the #EndBadGovernance protest last year August.
The protesters had, at the Take-it-Back Movement protest yesterday at Ikeja, Lagos, spotted the officer who was on mufti.
NPO Reported that the protesters had yesterday defied Police warning as they took to the streets across the country.
As captured in a now viral video shared on X on Tuesday, the Lagos protesters, in a fierce confrontation, challenged the officer.
One of the protesters alleged that he was the one who packed the phones during the protest.
“Do you think we won’t recognize you?
“I know you very well. Return our phones.” The enraged protester told the officer who ushered away by his colleagues.
The protesters decried the the hardship in the country which they claimed is responsible for the high rate of migration, popularly known as the ‘japa syndrome’.
“Person go come you go dey cock gun for us. We have families abroad. Everybody wants to escape Nigeria because Nigeria is killing us.
“The reason why Nigerians are leaving the country is because Nigeria is not habitable. Nigeria is killing people. There is no job, people are tired.” The protesters said.
