The Federal Government is set to officially launch the Nigeria Artificial Intelligence Industry Collective.
This was announced in a statement shared on X on Sunday by the Ministry of Communication, Innovation, and Digital Economy.
According to the statement, the initiative established by the Ministry under the leadership of its Minister, Bosun Tijani, will be launched on Tuesday, 15th of April at the Wheatbaker Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos State.
Over 70 top AI leaders from Nigeria’s leading AI-driven companies, AI-focused start-ups, enablers/hyperscalers, and professional associations will be converging at the event which will feature the unveiling of the National Al Strategy to the Industry Community; launch of Al Collective Leadership Learning Series; launch of Al Collective Diaspora-Connect; release of Al Collective Compilation of Al for Social Good Use Cases from Nigeria; and kick-off of Al Collective Sectoral Networks.
The initiative, which was formally launched last October, is a collaborative platform designed to unify key players across government, academia, industry, and civil society in building a thriving, inclusive, and future-ready AI landscape for the nation.
