A Libyan returnee simply identified as Bolarinwa on Tuesday broke down in tears after losing all her investment to CyrptoBridge eXhange (CBEX) platform.
NPO earlier reported that the cryptocurrency digital trading platform crashed yesterday, leaving several Nigerian investors in shock and despair over their financial loss.
While some took to the social media to recount their loss, a group of angry mob stormed CBEX office in Ibadan, Oyo state, looting the building in desperate effort to recover their loss.
Bolarinwa, who had arrived at the vandalized office on Tuesday publicly broke down in tears over her loss.
Narrating her ordeal to newsmen, the Libyan returnee disclosed that she had personally invested $200 dollars in the trade while borrowing over $1000 from friends which was also invested in CBEX.
She disclosed that she was introduced to the scheme by her neighbour following her return from Nigeria.
“I staked $200 in this trade, including over $1000 I collected from my friends. I went to Libya to work. When I came back, my neighbour told me about the programme. She told me if I do it, it willhelp me. The little money I brought from Libya I joined it together. I didn’t want to do it but I saw my nieghbour collected money from the scheme.
“She said I should that if I put money, it will be doubled.
