Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) Chairman, Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has engaged in discussion with British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dr. Richard Montgomery, over the welfare of Nigerians in the United Kingdom.
This was disclosed in a post shared on the Commission’s official X handle on Thursday.
According to the post, Abike-Dabiri received the British High Commissioner alongside his deputy, Gill Lever.
Also present at the meeting between the NiDCOM boss and the Commissioner was Councilor Abigail Marshall Katung, the 130th Lord Mayor of Leeds.
She was accompanied by her husband, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, who represents Kaduna South.
The post read; “Hon. Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, received the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dr. Richard Montgomery and Mrs. Gill Lever OBE, British Deputy High Commissioner.
“Also present was Councilor Abigail Marshall Katung, the 130th Lord Mayor of Leeds, accompanied by her husband, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, who represents Kaduna South.
“The discussion focused on the Nigerian diaspora and the welfare of Nigerian communities in the UK.”
