An explosion has been reported near the Mogadishu Barracks in Abuja Monday evening.
The Nigerian Army announced the development via its verified X handle Monday evening.
It said, “Explosion At Bus Stop Opposite Mogadishu Cantonment Abuja.
Situation Under Control. Details Later.”
The cause of the explosion was unknown at the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, amotorist narrating the situation at the scene of the explosion claimed the incident was caused by a suicide bomber.
“When I just spoke to these security guys, they said there is a suicide bomber who wanted to kill himself or something. They were trying to remove the bombs from him.” He said.
