An Ibadan-based man simply identified as Funny Thinker, has challenged Lekan Fabilola, the host of the popular Yoruba programme, Masoyinbo, claiming that the media personality is not proficient in Yoruba language.
Funny Thinker had in a post shared on X on Tuesday called out Fabilola as he recounted several foiled attempts to showcase his Yoruba proficiency on the programme which means “Don not Speak English”.
Speaking in Yoruba, the middle-aged man claimed being recommended by notable individuals for the show.
“Firstly, it’s not as if there is no space at the top. And I’ve said it overtime that it’s those at the top that doesn’t want the top to be crowded so they won’t fall.
“It’s been over a month now that people have been recommending me and I always tag him in all my posts. But I never got any feedback from him.
“That’s why I decided today that if the mountain refused to go to Mohammed (SAW), Mohammed (SAW) will go to the mountain.” Funny Thinker said.
He thereafter challenged Fabilola to a four-hour non-stop talk show in Yoruba.
“Masoyinbo himself did not understand Yoruba language. I’m saying this with all my mouth. I challenge Masoyinbo to a non-stop four hours talk show and let’s see who will succumb first.” He said.
