Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, has spoken out over the frequent attacks and killings in his state, Benue, labelling it a national emergency.
The singer expressed his frustration with the situation in the wake of the killing of over 100 residents of Yelewata town in Guma Local Government Area by suspected armed herdsmen.
Speaking in a video shared on X on Sunday, 2Face called for serious action against the menace, stressing that is has gone beyond condemnation.
The visibly emotional music legend said the constant attacks is becoming ridiculous and annoying.
2Face who was seen beside his hearthrob and Edo lawmaker, Natasha Osawaru, called out the state’s stakeholders to come together and provide last solution to the menace.
“My heart is heavy I’m terribly sad and angry. It has become a national emergency what is going on in my state- Benue state. I don’t even know what to say at this point.
“This just has to stop. It has to involve everybody, every stakeholders in this state.
“This is becoming ridiculous and annoying. I don’t even know where to start expressing my sadness, anger and frustration. But this thing keep happening over and over again.
“Everytime we call on the Governor and President. This has gone beyond condemning. Serious action needs to start to take place. Every stakeholders need to come together.” He said.
