A mild drama has on Thursday ensued as a yet-to-be identified man attempted to breach President Bola Tinubu’s security protocol, interrupting his speech in Kaduna state.
Tinubu who had arrived in Kaduna for project commissioning following his condolence visit to Benue state was left in surprise during his address as the man from the crowd made advances towards him.
In a swift reaction captured in a now viral on X, the President’s security details charged towards to man, restraining the intruder as Tinubu’s personal guard stood at his front.
However, the President allayed concern over the affront as he ordered for the release of the man before proceeding with his speech.
“Leave him alone” He said in a rather calm but firm manner.
Tinubu was in Kaduna to inaugurate several projects executed by Uba Sani’s administration.
Projects inaugurated include the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development in Rigachikun, a 300-bed specialist hospital, and 100 CNG buses.
In his address, Tinubu lauded the governor for advancing the state by promoting peace and fostering reconciliation among various ethnic groups.
He assured that the Federal Government would support the construction of a light rail system for better transportation.
“I commend Gov. Uba Sani for prioritising security and infrastructure. We are here to celebrate his visible results.
“Uba Sani is a force for change, unity, and development. He has transformed a tense atmosphere into one of peace.
“You are an exceptional leader. Kaduna is back on track, and I am proud to work alongside you,” Tinubu said.
