The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, has resigned from his role.
Multiple sources are claiming that the APC National Chairman has quit his position over alleged health concern.
Though no official statement has been issued to the effect, sources contacted by the NPO Reports say that the party’s National Chairman has tendered his resignation letter.
This is coming barely six hours after the former Kano state governor led the party’s National Working Committe (NWC) on a condolence visit to Niger State Governor, Umaru Bago, at the state’s liason office in Abuja.
As disclosed in a post shared on the party’s official X handle, the APC NWC visited Bago over the devastating Mokwa flood and bandit attacks at Mariga Local Government Area of the state.
Ganduje had also yesterday spearheaded the APC leaders to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) consultative meeting with political party leaders at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja.
In his place, the party has named Ali Bukar Dalori, as the new Acting National Chairman.

Dalori, who hails from Maiduguri, Borno State had served as its National Vice Chairman (North East).
He is expected to steer the party’s affairs pending the election of a substantive chairman at the upcoming national convention.
Ganduje’s resignation came when he had led the National Working Committee to Niger State on a condolence visit to the Niger State Governor, HE. Mohammed Umaru Bago at the state’s liaison office in Abuja, over the devastating Mokwa flood and bandit attacks in Mariga LGA on the state.
It was learnt that while there has not been a formal letter some of the aides of the outgoing National Chairman removed his personal belongings from his office on Friday.
It was gathered that Ganduje’s resignation might not be unconnected with the internal adjustments that expected to happen ahead of 2027 elections.
