Former Kogi State lawmaker, Dino Melaye, has on Friday made his first appearance in court as a lawyer.
The ex-member of the Senate, who represented Kogi West Senatorial District at the 8th National Assembly, was last week called to the bar following the completion of his law study.
However, as against the norms of new lawyers kick-starting their career under established chambers, Melaye announced the creation of his own chamber, Sen. Dino Melaye Chamber.
This had sparked public reactions with some netizens congratulating the ex-lawmaker while others trolled him.
Undeterred by critics, Melaye, during the week hosted a grand reception in celebration of his new accomplishments before making his first appearance at the court room today.
As captured in a now viral video shared on X, the new legal practitioner was surrounded by his new colleagues who welcomed him to the court room.
One of the legal practitioners could be seen adjusting the regalia of the visibly excited former lawmaker.
His appearance at the court had again generated reactions from netizens.
