The Nigerian Police Force has announced the burial arrangement for the late former Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase.
NPO Reported the passing of the ex-IGP who died on the 31st of August at the age of 65.
As confirmed in a state issued by his son, Solomon Arase Jnr, the ex-Police boss died after brief illness.
The Police, in a post on its offical X handle on Wednesday, released the burial arrangement for the late former IGP.
As highlighted in the post, the burial rite will kick-off with a day of tribute slated to hold on Wednesday 24th of September at the Nigerian Police Resource Centre, Jabi, Abuja.
This will be followed by a Requiem Mass on Friday at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Maitama, before his Lying in State on Saturday 27th of September.
Following the conclusion of the Abuja burial rite, the body of the late IGP will be transported to his hometown in Edo State where a candlelight procession will be held for him.
Subsequent event before his final interment includes valedictory session, vigil mass, family rite/ lying in state, and funeral mass.
After his private interment on the 3rd of October, a thanksgiving mas will be held at the St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Airport Road, Benin City.
