Former Director-General of the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), Dr. Christopher Kolade, has died at the age of 93.
Kolade reportedly passed away on Thursday.
The cause of the nonagenarian’s death is yet to be disclosed as at the time of filing this report.
Born in Erin-Oke, Osun State, Nigeria, in 1932, the late former NBC boss came from a family deeply committed to missionary work in the Anglican Church.
Educated at Government College, Ibadan, and Fourah Bay College, Freetown, Sierra Leone, Dr. Kolade embarked on a diverse career path.
He became a veteran broadcaster and the Director-General of the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation.
Kolade later served as the Chief Executive and Chairman of Cadbury Nigeria Plc and held the esteemed position of Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
