In the same vein, the President announced the appointment of Air Vice Marshall Sunday Kelvin Aneke as the new Chief of Air Staff while Rear Admiral Iddi Abass emerged as the new Chief of Naval Staff.
However, Maj. Gen. Emmanuel ParkerĀ Undiendeye was retained as the Chief of Defence Intelligence.
Meanwhile, Tinubu in his letter seeks the confirmation of the appointees.
The President in the correspondence, as read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during the Senate’s plenary session on Tuesday, urged the Senate to give expeditious consideration to the appointments.
After reading the letter before the lawmakers, Akpabio referred the letter to the committee of whole for screening and confirmation of the nominees with feedback expected from the committee by next week.
