Supporters of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, have on Tuesday stormed the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) National Headquarters amid the supremacy battle between the Samuel Anyanmu-led faction of the party and the PDP’s newly national leaders spearheaded by Kabiru Turaki, the new National Chairman.
NPO Reported that both factions had announced plan to hold separate meetings at the Wadata Plaza with warnings and threats flowing from both sides.
However, Anyanwu who is Wike’s loyalist, earlier today led his faction to occupy the secretariat before the arrival of the Turaki-led faction.
Their supporters had also stormed the PDP National Headquarters with Pro- Wike group spotted amongst the crowd.
The group expressed their solidarity with Wike, displaying a banner which read, “Wike leads we follow”.
