Nigerian businessman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has warned President Bola Tinubu of losing the support of the Southeasterners on his re-election bid over the jailing of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
Cubana Chief Priest gave the warning following the life sentencing of Kanu by the Abuja Federal High Court on Thursday.
NPO Reported that the court had found the IPOB leader guilty of all the seven counts in the terrorism charge filed against him.
While five out of the seven counts were labelled worthy of death sentence, the presiding judge, Justice James Omotosho, however overturned the sentence into life imprisonment.
The ruling had since sparked mixed reactions from members of the public with some lauding the court’s judgement while others faulted the judgement.
Joining the dissenting voices in a now deleted post shared on his Instagram story yesterday, Cubana Chief Priest warned of the implication of the ruling on Tinubu’s re-election bid in the forthcoming 2027 Presidential election.
The socialite in the post held that Tinubu will not get 10,000 votes over the Kanu’s sentencing.
He maintained that the Kanu is the supreme leader in the southeast and such determines the people’s decision.

“I will not lie to you Papa, as a friend of your government I have no reason to whitewash you.
“MNK is the supreme leader of Southeast. His detention has caused us so much setback & I’m so surprise that all your useless Ministers from Southeast can’t even tell you the truth because they are all cowards.
“None of them has capacity & can do anything to make the people love & respect you.
“As for Governors, they will all disappoint you because what will they tell us? Absolutely nothing.
“Only MNK release can save you.” Cubana Chief Priest wrote.
The socialite also charged the President’s son, Seyi Tinubu, to intervene over the imprisonment of Kanu, stressing that only his release can guarantee Southeast votes for his father.
He further called out all Southeast political leaders including the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma.

“They can’t do anything for you. They can’t even go to their hometowns because of MNK detention. So, how can they help you. They only want lands from you to develop & sell.
“You know me I don’t need anything from you. Villa Na hotel na few more days.
“Your check out time go reach and only MNK can guarantee you real votes from Southeast.
“Look out for Gov. Alex Otti. He can convince people genuinely. Also, I was surprised when you missed his invitation to commission his projects in Abia where MNK hails from.
“Asiwaju sent the incompetent Minister, a failure and betrayal to Southeast to represent him.
“A man who has done nothing for us. To worsen it, the weak Deputy Speaker won’t stop attacking our own fav Gov Otti.
“To My Father @he_hopeuzodimma, you have done well. But you will be a complete loser if you don’t get MNK out.
“Your legacies will be swept under the carpet if you don’t get it right.” He added.
