Former All Progressives Congress (APC) National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore, has broken silence over his disqualification from the party’s primaries ahead of the 2026 Osun Governorship election as he reacted with biblical quotes.
NPO Reported that Omisore and six other aspirants were disqualified from contesting in the primaries by the APC Screening Committee slated to hold on the 13th of December.
The former Osun Deputy Governor and the other disqualified aspirants were reportedly barred from the December 13 poll over gaps in their nomination documents.
Only two aspirants, Mulikat Abiola Jimoh and Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, were cleared by the screening committee at the conclusion of the exercise.
Reacting to the development in a post on his Facebook handle on Friday, Omisore cited the book of Proverbs chapter 19 verse 21 which read; “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”
While the ex-APC National Secretary gave no interpretation to the quoted biblical scripture, he however appeared to be sending a resolute message to the party that only God’s will prevail regardless of their plan.
