Veteran brand journalist, John Ajayi, has passed away at the age of 62.
Ajayi, who founded the popular brand-focused media outlet, Marketing Agency, reportedly died on Wednesday after brief illness.
While the circumstances surrounding his death was not fully disclosed, Marketing Edge, in a statement issued today, confirmed his demise.
The company expressed its gried over the journalist’s demise.
It described his death as a “devastating blow” to the organisation and to the broader community of practitioners, agencies and corporate partners.
Marketing Edge maintained that its staff will not just remember him as a publisher but as a builder of institutions—someone whose belief in excellence shaped the culture around him.
