NPO Reported that the duo was alongside the 32 other additional individuals nominated for ambassadorial roles by President Bola Tinubu.
Also making the nomination list were former Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, former First Lady of Oyo State, Fatima Ajimobi, and former Enugu governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
Included in the list as well are former Lagos Commissioner, Lola Akande, former Adamawa Senator, Grace Bent, former governor of Abia, Victor Okezie Ikpeazu, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, businessman, lawyer and Senator from Ondo State, and the former ambassador of Nigeria to the Holy See, Ambassador Paul Oga Adikwu from Benue State amongst others.
While the Senate had last week screened and approved the appointment of the first three ambassadorial nominees, Ayodele Oke, Kayode Are, and Aminu Dalhatu, the Red Chamber invited the rest for the exercise on Thursday.
Video shared on X showed moment the nominees arrived at the NASS complex ahead of the screening.
