The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has broken silence over the closed-door meeting between him and the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, at the Aso Villa.
NPO Reported President Bola Tinubu’s summon of Wike and Fubara over their reignited feud.
They had last week appeared before the Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, marking the second time the President will intervene in the feud between the duo.
Addressing newsmen on Tuesday, Wike confirmed the meeting with the President.
The FCT Minister assured that Tinubu’s intervention will be the last between him and Fubara.
He disclosed instructing the Rivers State House of Assembly to adhere to the President’s directive to suspend the impeachment plot against Fubara.
Wike however charged the Rivers governor carry out his own part of their agreement.
The Minister said; “Mr. President has been very kind to the people of the state. If there seems to be a problem between the legislature and the governor, as a father, he really has to intervene.
“I remember this will be the second time Mr. President will intervene. I believe that by the grace of God, this will be the last time.
“I’ve told the Assembly to do the needful to obey Mr. President which I know they will not hesitate.
“I also believe that the governor will carry out his own part to make sure that this is the final time Rivers people will have this kind of discord.”
