The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has nabbed a suspected vote trader at the ongoing 2026 Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council election.
The suspect was apprehended at the the Kutunku Primary School polling unit in Gwagwalada Area Council following allegations of electoral inducement.
Video shared on X on Saturday showed armed EFCC operatives whisking away the suspect from the polling units.
NPO Reported that anti-graft agency had earlier deployed the operatives across the polling units in said bid to ensure electoral integrity and tackle voter’s inducement.
The EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, had in his address charged the officers to ensure strict surveillance across all the council areas and prevent incidents of vote buying and other electoral malpractices.
