Traceynither Ohiri has released evidence of her transactions and chats with the Minister of Works, Sen. Dave Umahi, over the unpaid N205 million owed to her by the minister.
This is coming days after the debt scandal between Umahi and the woman who claimed to have delivered promotional gift items to Umahi during his 2014 Ebonyi state governorship campaign without being paid ever since.
NPO Reported that the duo had engaged in a face-off at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command where Ohiri was detained under the alleged directive of the minister.
The intervention of human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, who recorded the video of the encounter at the police conference room, had since escalated the case.
Ohiri, while recounting her ordeal before being arraigned to court, disclosed that Umahi had denied knowing her during their interaction at the police conference room.
This prompted her outburst captured in the video recorded by Sowore.
With the Minister further denying owing the businesswoman during a project commissioning at the weekend, Ohiri released pictures and screenshots of his chats with Umahi.
As captured in a video shared on X on Sunday, Umahi could be seen with Ohiri in his office as she delivered some of the materials which included branded packs of notebooks, pens, and other items.
Subsequent clips showed the chats between the duo with one of the chat revealing Umahi’s threat against the woman.
“One day, you will pay for insulting me.” Umahi wrote in one of the chats dated April 12, 2016.
Another clip dated 14th May 2023 showed Ohiri reminding Umahi of the debt as she pleaded with the Minister to pay her.
“Good evening Sir, it’s been eight years I supplied you Promotional Gift items during your campaign.
“Kindly have mercy and pay me before you leave office.
“Thanks. Traceynither Nicholas Ohiri” She wrote.
This would be followed by series of other unreplied messages before some eventual responses from Umahi.
