A group of suspected bandits have reportedly attacked a community in Aso, Nasarawa, setting several houses and vehicles ablaze.
The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Wednesday with videos shared on X showing rows of burnt houses and cars still engulfed in flames.
Some residents were also said to have been injured during the attack.
Meanwhile, some youths of the community located in the outskirt of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) near a primary school along the Maraba/Masaka border town trooped out shortly after the attack.
They were reported to have apprehended one of the assailants with a clip showing moment he was attacked by some of the armed youths after he struck one of the mobs with what appeared to be a sword.
However, no official statement has been issued to confirm the development as at the time of filing this report.
