Bashir El-Rufai, son of former Kaduna state governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has made mockery of his father’s successor, Uba Sani, after reconciliation move by former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Pantami.
NPO Reported that Sani had on Sunday attended the burial ceremony of El-Rufai’s mother, Umma El-Rufai.
His appearance amid El-Rufai’s ongoing feud with him had however raised speculations over possible reconciliation between the governor and his predecessor.
While Uba had exchanged pleasantries with El-Rufai during the funeral prayer for his late mother at the National Mosque, Abuja, the duo would again meet at the burial ground where Pantami seized the opportunity to make the reconciliation move.
In a moment captured in a now viral video shared on X, Pantami held the hands of El-Rufai and Uba, forcing the Kaduna state Governor to awkwardly shake his predecessor who appeared indifferent over the move.
Reacting to the video in a post on his X handle, Bashir labelled Uba’s awkward look as a display of shame while lauding his father’s indifference reaction to the gesture initiated by Pantami.
“Lmao. Pantami the Kingmaker. One felt shame, the other indifference. ” He wrote.
Pantami’s reconciliation move had also attracted mixed reactions from netizens with some faulting Bashir’s post while others condemned the reconciliation move by Pantami, labelling it as ill-timed.
