A violent clash has on Friday broken out between Nigerian military personnel as officers of the Nigerian Army and Naval Force exchanged punches during President Bola Tinubu’s visit to Bayelsa State.
The incident captured in a now viral video shared on X showed moment the Naval Police officers who were in convoy alongside the Army personnel parked their vehicle in the middle of the road with the driver stepping out to punch an Army officer from the other vehicle.
This would escalate into brawl as other Naval Officers joined their colleague with the Army officers also refusing to back off in the exchange.
While the cause of the provocation is largely unknown, the military personnel left several residents scampering for safety as they reportedly fired gunshots in the air.
The development had also sparked mixed reactions from netizens with many slamming the personnel over their conduct.
