The Ogun State Government has announced the commencement of flight operations by the state-owned airline, Gateway Air, across major cities in Nigeria.
This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by the Special Adviser to the state governor on Information and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade.
According to the statement, Gateway Air will commence scheduled flight operations to Abuja, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Kano, and Jos, from Monday 13th of April 2026.
The flight routes, as highlighted in the statement, include Iperu to Abuja, Abuja to Port Harcourt, Abuja to Calabar, Abuja to Jos, and Iperu to Kano.
The airline noted that the one-way flights will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, offering passengers reliable and convenient travel options.
It announced that the economy fares for the flights are as low as ₦100,000.
According to Akinmade, the development marks a significant step in improving regional accessibility and delivering efficient, reliable air travel services to passengers, while also supporting economic growth and connectivity across the country.
