A Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna State has granted former governor of the state, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, N200 million bail in his ongoing alleged financial misappropriation trial.
El-Rufai had on Tuesday arrived at the court for the hearing of his bail application which was initially slated to be heard by the court yesterday but was adjourned till today.
The presiding judge, Justice Rilwan Aikawa, would grant the former Kaduna governor bail in the trial.
NPO Reported that ICPC had dragged El-Rufai to courts on separate charges which include the alleged financial misconduct, corruption, and abuse of power amongst others.
Meanwhile, prior to the Federal High Court’s ruling, the Kaduna State High Court was reported to adjourned it own ruling on El-Rufai’s bail application to April 21, 2026.
