Nollywood actress, Funmi Bank-Anthony, has opened up on her clash with fellow actor, Uche Maduagwu.
NPO earlier Reported that the duo had earlier this week engaged in a brawl at a Lagos cinema.
Video of the incident shared on X Friday showed Bank-Anthony hitting an object on Maduagwu’s head before intervention by onlookers.
The clash was reported to have borne out of Maduagwu’s allegation that the actress was responsible for the reignited feud between her fellow colleagues, Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham.
Maduagwu had in a post on his Instagram handle accused Bank-Anthony of scattering the friendship between Akindele and Abraham.
He charged the actress to go and apologise to Akindele and stop pretending being unaware of the cause of her snubbing Abaraham during the premiere of a movie produced by fellow actress, Iyabo Ojo.
“Aunty Funke Akindele is not happy with how you scattered her friendship with Toyin Abraham. Go and beg her.
“Nobody can stop me from speaking the truth. Funmi Bank-Anthony, why are you pretending as if you don’t know why Aunty Funke snubbed Toyin Abraham in public.” Maduagwu had posted.
Reacting to their clash in a video shared on X yesterday, Bank-Anthony denied ever meeting Maduagwu or have any discussion with him about Akindele and Abaraham as she disclosed coming under heavy backlash and cyberbullying since his post.
The actress claimed that the Lagos cinema where their clash occurred was the first she will be meeting Maduagwu in person.
“I didn’t deem it necessary to do this video because I just think that people rant on social media. People just want to get unnecessary attention.
“But my dm is full of curses, the abuse, the words. Uche Maduagwu, do I know you? Have I ever seen or spoken with you before?
“Do we have any friend in common? Do I know you? Did we go to the same secondary school? Where did we become friends?
“I told you something about Funke and Toyin. Where is the correlation? The first time I will ever stay with you one-on-one was just three days ago at ICM cinemas.” She said.
While disclosing that Toyin Abraham was her childhood friend, Bank-Anthony again dismissed claim of speaking with Maduagwu over the actress’ clash with Funke Akindele.
Bank-Anthony demanded that the actor pull down the post or face legal action from her lawyer.
“Toyin Abraham is my childhood friend. I don’t chase clout. I just want to mind my business and face my career. You just came up. The funny thing is that some people even believed you. They started cursing me.
“Some people actually believed that I told you what happened between Toyin and Funke. What did I do to you? Do you know me?
“If you do not remove that post from your page before tomorrow morning, you will hear from my lawyer. What kind of rubbish is this?
“You want to use me to chase clout on social media. Why didn’t you talk when it happened? Why are you just talking now?” She asked.
